TERMS AND CONDITIONS

APPLICATION FOR ENTRY 

  • An exhibit cannot compete in any class additional to that for which it is entered on the Application for Entry. Information, as requested on the application for entry, must be completed otherwise the application may not be accepted. 
  • An animal’s entry application will only be valid via a correctly completed online entry form, prior to the closing date displayed.
  • Photos and video content must be supplied by the required date being Thursday June 8, 2023 or the entry will not be accepted. In this instance, the nomination fee is lost. 
  • Bulls must be for sale at a public auction or available privately, and can not be sold prior to the commencement of the 2023 competition dates.
  • Bulls must be physically for sale, no semen lots will be accepted. 
  • Bulls can be of any age category. 

ENTRY FEES 
An entry fee of $200 + GST per animal will be applicable and must be paid prior to receiving any prize allocation. 

If you hold an ACM account it will be booked for this. Any entrants who do not have an ACM account will be required to make payment upfront before commencing. 

AGE AND DATE OF BIRTH 
June 1 is the reference date for the calculation of the age of an animal for the purposes of entering a class in the Sire Shootout competition. 

SUBMITTING FOOTAGE 
(a) One high resolution side profile photograph of the animal for entry to be submitted. Image file size of 10 MB at the minimum. JPEG File Format only.

(b) Maximum 15 seconds of high quality video footage, including 5 seconds of your animal walking along a flat surface parallel to the camera, 5 seconds of your animal walking towards the camera and 5 seconds of your animal walking away from the camera.

(c) Video footage is not to contain logos, sound, weights or any animal figures. Eg: EBV details. 

(d) EBV or raw data scans are to be sent separately.
EBV or raw data scans are not mandatory for entry.

(e) Animal must not be led or haltered in both the video and photograph. 


CHAMPIONSHIPS - SIRE SHOOTOUT COMPETITION 
(a) First to fifth placings will be awarded in each of the three classes. If less than five animals are nominated in a class, placings will be handed out accordingly. 

(b) In awarding the supreme championship in the Sire Shootout competition, the first five place winners of each of the three classes are eligible.

(c) In awarding the reserve supreme champion for the Sire Shootout competition the remaining animals, excluding the supreme champion, from the remaining bulls of each of the three classes are eligible.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ENTRY AND BREED SOCIETY REGISTRATION 
 (a) To be eligible for entry, the exhibit must, at the time of entering the competition: 

i. Be fully registered by the relevant recognised beef cattle breed society in the
Herdbook of the Society or Association; and

ii. Sire Shootout is open to both fully registered animals and herd bulls. However, herd bulls that wish to enter must be registered with a beef cattle breed society and have both a sire and dam entry recorded.

(b) A copy of the Breed Society registration certificate (both sides) must be available if requested by the Sire Shootout committee.

REGISTRATION AND ANIMAL OWNERSHIP
All cattle entered in the Sire Shootout competitions must be registered in the name of the exhibitor at the time of judging and with a breed society recognised by ACM. 

ORDER OF JUDGING 
All classes shall be judged in animals age order from youngest to oldest in accordance with the order of classes as printed in the schedule. The judges’ decision is final.

VIEWERS CHOICE JUDGING
Viewers choice judging is conducted through our online platform as communicated and promoted via ACM mastheads. Each individual IP address is entitled to one single vote. 

RESTRICTION OF ENTRIES 
Exhibitors will be restricted to entering a total of four bulls each. 

BREEDPLAN
Exhibitors are entitled to submit Breedplan/IGS figures, raw scans and/or animal weights, which will be displayed in our catalogue for viewing by the audience. 

JUDGING
Judging will be undertaken in an online format, with a representative from ACM present. The judge’s decision will be final.
