Confidence in the sheep meat market drove prices higher on an offering of 529 rams at the annual Chrome on-property sale Thursday.

It was a record breaking resut for Matthew and Tanya Tonissen, Yulecart, achieving a total clearance of 529 rams at an overall average of $2137.
Mr Tonissen said he was overwhelmed by the result and the support of the buyers.
As well as a large gallery on the day at the physical sale, 81 rams were sold online via Elite Livestock Auctions.
The top priced Chromedale ram was $4000 by Kookaburra Heights. It was one of three they purchased with others at $3800 and $2900.
Volume buyer for the Chromedales was Springvale Pastoral with 20 rams to a top of $2600.
Top price of the Coopworth offering of 31 rams was $4400 going to an online bid.
Hermiston Ag was the volume buyer with six rams to $2000.
There were 45 Perendale rams offered with the top price of $2600 for two rams going to the same purchaser, Andrew May.
Hermiston Ag six Perendales to $2000 - twice, while an online bidder bought six rams to $2100. Also buying six rams was Rosedale.
The top priced Icon Southie was $2500 going to Alljo.
Volume buyres in the Southies included Mt Elephant Pastoral that bought 24 rams to top of $1400 - three times.
Another volume buyer was Chatsworth House with 17 rams to $1700 - twice.
There were 76 Icon Poll Dorset rams offered with the top price being $1800 paid by Kookaburra Heights who bought a total of four Poll Dorsets.
Volume buyer was Paraway with 17 rams to top of $1200, while Wattlebank Partnership with 11 rams to $1300 (twice) and Kirkland Family Trust with eight to a top of $1700..
